I’ve always been an adventurer at heart.

I grew up in Africa, have lived in several countries — including the United States and have spent much of my life travelling. Discovering new places, different cultures and beautiful things has always been part of who I am. Perhaps that is also why destination photography came so naturally to me.

I became a photographer for a much simpler reason: I love beautiful images. Beautiful light, interesting faces, fashion, architecture, remarkable places and that particular combination of elements that can turn an ordinary scene into something worth looking at.

Today, I am based in the South of France and photograph weddings and celebrations throughout France, Europe and wherever the story takes me. My approach is influenced by fashion and editorial photography, but I never want an image to feel overly constructed. I like beauty with life in it — something refined, but never too perfect.

Photography also exists for me beyond weddings. I am a fine-art photographer and create personal photographic series that are exhibited in art festivals and exhibitions. It is a very different part of my work freer, sometimes more conceptual and one that continually influences the way I see and create.

Ultimately, I don’t photograph weddings because I believe every moment needs to be turned into poetry. I photograph them because they bring together so many things I love: people, beauty, fashion, extraordinary places, movement, light and the opportunity to create images that will outlive the day itself.
